Georgia-based artist Creams has dropped a fantastic new single and video in the form of ‘Need To Talk’. “This song is like a journey through my feelings and the chaos in my head,” she explains. “This is a raw and honest look at the fight against my inner demons.” Musically, she begins with the lighthearted influence of 90s video games at the forefront, before allowing the track to become darker and darker as layers of booming synth and crunchy hi-hats are added to complement her distorted lead vocal. It’s a clever way of reflecting her lyrical ideas, which, when viewed alongside the beautifully shot video, forms an emotionally powerful piece of multi-media art.
